hi all
my parents r planning to travel to usa (new york) this spring and they will bring me a pc from there, but i didn't know any store there except compusa, best buy which don't have all the hardware i want.
i want to buy all computers parts from a single store which will build me the pc
i want an asus 975X mobo , corsair XMS DDR2 , XFX 7800gt , hitachi hard drive, iiyama flat monitor(or samsung) .... ps: i like playing games 😛
so if anyone know a store anywhere in NY bronx brooklyn manhattan ... plz let me know

Newegg ship to the hotel is the way to go.
If you want to buy an OEM might as well buy in your own country.

Welcome to the forums by the way.

ComputerNYC downtown does it, has all parts and builds computers. http://www.computernyc.com
121 Madison Avenue, New York, NY, 10016(bet.30&31street) (212-679-1088)

Website looks a little dated though, better call and ask about your parts

Only know cause thats where I got my parts before I started using newegg

If you like playing games go AMD not Intel, check out reviews on this site and you will see that AMD's dominate the charts for gaming performance

thanks

I've actually been in that store before. They used to have monthly specials....don;t know if they still do but sometimes you can pick up a DVD rom or HDD for cheap. They also had some really nice looking cases, and a lot to choose from. I had never seen some of these cases anywhere else. In general though, I think most of their boards and cpu's were overpriced. You probably won't get much of a deal. If you don't care about price, then you'll have a fun time building a pc at this little shop.

Edit:
weekly specials:

ChiefValue is in New Jersey and is a div. of Newegg. Could pay by wire transfer of if they'll be here long enough, could send AmEx Traveler's checks or US Postal Money Order...
