NVR for SOHO?

Hello

My company wants to do a NVR system and we are studying some options.

First choice is the QNAP VS-4112 Pro+ for the storage center.

With these, the WD40PURX drives.

And for cameras I have no ideas; Two at least have to be night vision ready and exterior ready as they will be used to see outside of the place.

Also for the cameras, what type of networking would I need? We want at least 8 and I think 802.11n wouldn't be able to hold it. So what about 1000 or PoE?

Thank you

It really depends on what resolution the images from the camera will be streaming...
So, narrow down what cameras you will use, calculate the bandwidth needed, then see where you are at.

Then the rest of it is seeing if you can keep up with the bandwidth required, and make sure you calculate some overhead, enough to be able to view each stream in real time or whatever, as well as recording.

Well, imagine a warehouse; More or less we should be able to see license plates on cars (and with that make out faces).

I was looking more for recommendations on brands and such.

Thank you
