Question nvme ssd firmware dump

Hi,

Does anybody know how to dump firmware from nvme ssd controller (WD, sandisk controller)?
JTAG or any other way?
And no - WD does not "publish" the firmware (or updates) for this particular drive...

Hi Daman, did you have any luck on this?

I'm sorry, I can't help you, I'm in the same boat:

I have a WD SN730, which is the OEM version of the WD BLACK SN750, so I'm wondering if it would be possible to flash it with the SN750 firmware, to enable all the "WD BLACK" features.

But the firmware for the SN750 is nowhere to be found... should be this one: WDS100T3X0C-00SJG0
(can only find for a different version WDC_PC_SN750_WDS100T1B0E-00B3V0, but the fluf file size is much smaller...)

Does anybody know what the RN (R/N) number is on the label? it's the exact same for the SN730 and the SN750, so same built / revision?

I'm keen to holding on to the SN730 on my PCIe 3 rig, it scores better than the DRAMless SN770 in my 2nd slot...
