Yeah, but Fuad was put in his place by NVIDIA and a few manufacturers who took issue at what he published. So, this article looks to be saying the same thing, without saying anything concrete that he can get nailed on. As for partner pricing and such, it is common practice for different partners to have different price schedules. This is true for GPUs, CPUs, etc. Pricing differences can come from various reasons such as quantities, loyalty, new business relationship, etc.

You know what? Some of those "industry sources" may be manufacturing rumors for their own benefit or out of spite. I know for an absolute 99% fact that one particular "industry" person was the source of certain rumors being spread about over the past Summer regarding NVIDIA partners. The 99% part is that I never heard the rumor straight from the person's mouth, however when a number of people say "OMG we heard such and such, is it true?" and they ALL credit the same person, well...
 
I couldn't agree more; there are several reasons why someone would want to generate what I like to call disinformation. But it has to be snowing in the Sahara before I'll believe anything Fud says. Unless I hear it from a reliable source as well...
