His mom must definitely be proud. Well, if this all isn't just a publicity stunt, then something drastic must have happened. We should start a pool. Closest guess to what happened wins.

Total possibility. Actually makes some sense. Corporate restructure and doing away with extra expenditures. Hmmm. Perhaps.

You know how this works better than anyone, if NV goes thru a restructure will they pull your funding or is it cheap enough to have a 'media crew' that it wouldn't be affected?

LOL what? a troll trawler trolling? o_O

you know wut, i have learned through age and experience that these rumors are a bunch of nonsense spewed out by a conglomeration of unreliable sources.

stick that in you collective e-pipes and smoke it.:thumbsup:

all of that said, amd is pwning right now, large and in charge with the world's fastest single gpu. the spin doctors can say whatever they want, but in the here-and-now amd wins.

Exactly. AMD has seen this before. They've been dominant since the 5000 series and still are today, right now even without question. Hype and superstition is pointless, once Nvidia gets the cards on the table it matters.

Until then, anything else is just propaganda to get people to hold off.
For me, the 7000 series is the first worthy upgrade I've seen for someone with a 5000 class GPU. They made excellent advances in power management, the card is fast, and I can afford it if I want it (I'd want a new rig to go with it). I don't find the price absurd for the worlds fastest video card..

So the 6970 is almost twice as fast, that's an incredible jump for one generation, AMD is amazing!

What do you mean? I don't write articles for semi-accurate or any other site. If NV goes through a corporate restructure, you'll be the first person I tell.

@ AnandThenMan & BallaTheFeard: You 2 think maybe you could stop baiting each other? It's going to lead down a dark path and bring the thread down.

I was speaking directly towards the 5870/50 not holding up nearly as well as the Fermi cards AMD "dealt with".

I didn't mention the 7970 at all so I was never beaten at my own game.
