Nvidia Windows XP 41.09 WHQL available for download

Gotta love it! A 25% increase every time Nvidia releases a new driver. Up to about 125% of original driver by now 🙂. They are trying hard to stop people from buying ATI.....

FYI, that 25% increase release note has been there since the 40.xx drivers were released. Don't expect a 25% increase over 40.72

yeah, I also notice that. I'll just wait & see..don't have any problem with the 40.72 driver

Just an FYI, these drivers helped with MS Combat Flight Sim 3, with the other 40.xx-41.xx drivers I was getting multiple "GR SW Notify" errors in my Win XP Event Logs and that problem has been resolved now.
Also working with the EA Sports games, NOLF 2, Arx Fatalis and Hitman 2.
I don't have any Open GL games at the moment so not sure how the Open GL 1.4 ICD is working.

Another FYI:

I haven't tried UT2K3 or anything yet but system performance is already better, I can see a night and day difference in the way applications open and behave, looks like a much better driver. Can't say anything on the speed difference yet but I don;t think that would make any difference anyway as it was already fast enough.

For anyone intrested in learning what this card does for the DCC/CAD side of things. . .I have a quadro 4, and the new 41.09 drivers do a little backwards with nview. You now use xp to handle your monitors. Then use nview to customize it, rather than nview doing most everything before. Intresting.

I'd like to try them but that darn Nvidia website is insane!! I can't download anything from it. They'll start out high around 175kb/sec, then gradually drop to 56k type speed, then just stop. Or the d/l will be haulin' butt in the 100's then just stop, i don't get it...

Yah its been goofin lately. Are you using any download accelerating proggies? They simultaneously download from any mirrors, which speeds up the process a lot. It will still halt every so often, but it'll fire up again and with 5 or 6 mirror sites hitting, the pauses aren't as long/slow as if just downloading from 1 site.
