As for this forum being just like other forums? Kind of yes. But I believe video in particular is severely under moderated. But I believe this is intentional for whatever reasons.

I don't think it is intentional. My gut tells me that of the pool of mods, there is not really an interest in video among them. Consider your own viewing habits at AT (not just keys, this is a group exercise ). Do you look at all of the forums? I only go to about 4. Hey, maybe I am the wierd one.

I would be more than willing run/post benchmarks if I were given top-of-the-line video cards for free, too. And I suspect many other people here would as well.

What I would NOT do, however, is pimp that manufacturer's products like they were the greatest invention next to sliced bread, I would NOT post every little single trivial problem with their competitors products, and I certainly would NOT hide the fact that I was being given the hardware to evaluate.

I'd rather pay for my hardware than be in the situation Rollo has gotten himself into.

Not to defend Rollo or anything but he had a point. The OP voided the manufacturer warranty by taking off the HSF so it was dishonest of him to RMA the card to XFX. While Rollo went above and beyond the norms of chastising an individual for being shady by contacting XFX (lame), it should come as no surprise now since he was only doing his duty as an AEG/nVidia shill.

So far you know just as much as the rest of us. The AT Administration has been totally silent regarding this situation except for a small comment from Anand in his blog.

Yeah that is shady for OP, while he deserved a good flaming session on the boards I can't believe Rollo tried to bust him with the MFG, that's kind of not his business.
