And about the original post, I think AEG is very wrong. Forums such as these provide ?reliable? information on a peer to peer basis and pominent posters/ members do have a lot of influence. Of course there will always be a bias. But to be paid to extensively promote that bias is not right.

While Rollos posts may be an annoyance to some members I don't think that alone or even the fact that he is affiliated with AEG should be grounds to ban him. What I have a problem with is that Rollo did not disclose his affiliation with AEG/nvidia and tried to discredit the competition (and any member that could see a positive aspect about the competition) at every opportunity. Sometimes this was done using obscure sites that would have required some very agressive reaserch on his part or there is the possibility this information was supplied to him from contacts within the focus group, AEG or even nvidia itself. If it was proven that any of this negative information is being supplied to Rollo because of his association with AEG then I would hope for a premanant ban of Rollo and anyone else associated with this type of organazation. For now I don't see a valid reason to actually ban Rollo, but I do hope AT gives him a stearn warning and provide stricter moderation in the video fourm.

Quite honestly, any of these people subtly defending Rollo could be him on his "other" ISP... I don't quite trust this place (Internet in general) because people can manage multiple accounts... "The Turtle" is proof of that...

ArchAngel777, I almost had to laugh at your responce. I do tolerate that behavior, not because I like it, but because I am realistic in thinking that not everyone will conform to my ethics or my idea of what is and is not acceptable behavior. If you don't believe me you have the right to do so and even post your opinion (as long as it is acceptable to AT) just as Rollo has the same rights. Personally I think Rollo pushes the limits of being acceptable to the extreme at times and that is why I said in my other post "I do hope AT gives him a stearn warning and provide stricter moderation in the video fourm".

I have also confronted Rollo and would still like to hear a responce from him regaurding a few of my posts, I can only assume he did not respond at the time because I was right and he knew it. My posts are rare but I do try to be "fair and balanced" and since I am not an avid gamer nor do I own a modern gaming card I avoid gaming specific text in my posts, but I can cite specific examples where I have confronted Rollo.

Oh, and Wreckage for the most part you could call me a Rollohater, and while I think it would be hard to call me a troll I find that ATi products fit my needs a lot better than nvidia, you read it right "ATi products fit my needs a lot better than nvidia".

Not being an avid gamer or my preference for ATI might make some think I have no place in video, what those people don't understand is my choice to use ATi is not based on brand loyalty. When I do participate in a thread I only do so because I can look at it with a minimal amout of bias or help someone not specifically interested in gaming.

I agree, Joker is a great guy and he isn't pro nVidia or ATI. Joker (myself and others include) are tired of the double standards used here. We seen one company get slaughtered for something and then see how some companies are exempt from it... It just isn't right. People have been bashing ATI way to much lately and I fear it is the direct result of people that have an agenda.

Someone trying to skew the facts and suggest a GTX 512 is a better card than the 1900XTX is quite frankly, on crack. Why pay $200+ more for essentially the same thing, but with a different brand? Oh wait, because they are skewing the cards towards nVidia.

Buggerking needs to get lost around here too... He is by far the most anoying person and is quite possibly on par with "Teh Turtle".

RAM, no. We're talking total memory. You obviously didn't read the thread, nor have any idea what we're talking about. Until you have, stop posting about it. It was either Matthias or Pete would did some comparisons that showed the increases with and without CCC (and CCC trimmed down, which shouldn't have to be done just to get it's memory usage down). Go check those out.

As far as the X1900 Versus GTX 512... Well... I think every honest person knows that the X1900 is the better purchase right now.

As far as the launches... nVidia did have a great 7800 GTX launch. But their 512 GTX was phantom for the most part. It is overpriced as well... But I still consider is a great card, just overpriced.

No, what is in question is you posting actual ram memory usage during peak and trying to pass it off as normal. VM is space allocated to the hard drive, doesn't matter how much booger and you try to spin it and isn't even what we're discussing.

I don't need people telling me anything. You tried trolling by posting loading peak memory usage (which lasts about 1-2 secs) as standard for CCC and got caught. But what else would I expect from someone that gets welfare cards from nVidia, works for nVidia's partner Sony and moderates nVidia's nZone forums.

Well, CCC is bad for its size. I don't see how you can say its not that bad when It stays in the back ground and will have an impact on performance. Yes, I have proved in the thread that it does uses unnecessary memory(physical) and increase load time in games because it is actually working when it stays in memory. I don't understand why you wouldn't just tell people to use ATI tool which is much more elegant.

Well I only started addressing Ronin this way after the countless times he's resorted to vulgarities towards me. Just day before yesterday he called me a "dick" for exposing his nVidia affiliation. As for booger..err I mean beggerking, the guy just loves trolling. He accused RobertR1 in this thread of calling for people's ban and when pressed to provide evidence, he shifted his flames to something else - typical behavior of a troll.

Nobody contends that ATi Tray Tools isn't a better solution, not even me. But the fact is that your typical enthusiast (or even regular PC user these days) has at least 1 GB of ram. CCC using up to 17 MB of physical memory is nothing and the performance hit to applications from having CLI.exe + services loaded is almost nothing.
