Nope. Sadly I do it for free just to piss off you ATI fan boys. I guess that's reward enough.

Although I could really use a new video card. I wonder if I contacted them, maybe they would send me one? Hmmm, I would need a whole new system actually since I'm still on AGP :p

I see, so you admit to trolling and trying to "piss off" ATi fans. Nice.

Nothing new here. When he first starting posting here I noticed him crapping on ATI. I had suspicions he was a fanboy then but didn't voice it. I asked him to explain some of his comments as to why he thought ATI's cards were inferior to nVidia's in a couple of threads and to explain some of his other comments. It was in a polite non confrontational fashion. I got no response.

My suspicions on him were pretty much cemented after more negative ATI comments and him showing all the classic signs of a troll/fanboy. It was only after I called him for what he rightfully is, a troll and fanboy that I got responses from him. None of it nice.

This guy claimed to be some kind of game developer. Does Tim Sweeney go to graphics card launches? I doubt it. Maybe E3, but definately not a GeForce launch.

I have no qualms in stating that I'm an architect doing urban design for a number of large retail franchises. He, OTOH, leaves things convoluted and shows us pictures of 5 GF7800GTX 512mb cards to make it look like he's a big shot, all the while never admitting to what he does for a living. I just don't buy any of it.

On top of that, why would Tim Sweeney have an nVidia bias? I suppose Carmack does. IMO Ronin would more likely be Carmack than sweeney, but they're both extreme long shots IMO. :)

I'm not Sweeney, or Carmack, but I *am* in the same business (yes, I work for a game developer). As far as fessing up to WHERE, it's none of your GD business. :)

If Ronin says that Nvidia wanted to show off his products, it doesn't mean he's working for AEG at all. For all we know he's Tim Sweeney(the Unreal dev), and was asked to attend the presentation to show off the UE3 engine. There are many possible explanations for this kind of stuff, don't start jumping down peoples' throats so easily, it's unnecessary.

Just because someone doesn't/can't tell you what they do for a living doesn't mean they have some terrible secret to hide. I for example have a great job that I enjoy every minute of, but if I told you who I worked for(let alone who I am), then I'd probably get badgered to hell and back by forum members at some point.

I don't keep up with the video forum, so I don't know every last thing that Ronin has done, but tone down the interrogation stance and just simmer down a bit. This is turning in to a witch-hunt, it doesn't have to be that way. People don't have to be agents simply because they seem shady at times.

Pot, kettle, black.

I'm still waiting for an excuse from the ATI fanboys.

Excuse for what? I defend ATI products because I happen to think they're good products. Not because I am looking to get something free from them. There's a difference between a fan and a shill. And mostly I'm just trying to balance the continual ATI bashing that comes from a few people here including yourself and the person who we now know was being paid in Nvidia hardware for his trolling.

Keep waiting, this topic is about AEG & Nvidia. If and when ATI are exposed, you are more than welcome to spread awareness about it. (if I dont already do it :D)

WHy wasn't he honest about it before when asked explicitly?

Actually none of the ATI fanboyz have said anything about their ?affiliation?.

Very Hypocritical in my view, but I have a life outside video cards + I have a few drinks in me, so this has been pure entertainment.

Fair enough. Good job capitalizing the "S" in "Sweeney". I didn't mean anything by it. ;)

By the way, architects do great level design. You know where the "PM" button is. :Q ;)

AGAIN I SAY!!!

What's your excuse?

Anyone can do a search and look through your previous posts to see the ATI tattoo on your butt.

Why is that?

How surprising, Wreckage is trying to derail the thread. Oh and to answer your question Wreckage, I can safely say I have never been nor will I ever be affiliated with ATi in any fashion. I'm simply an enthusiast that is sick of AEG agents and their lackeys causing disruptions in this forum.

I'm guessing EA, since not many game developers post bigger revenue than NVidia's $2 Billion.

Yeah, Rollo always did that too. Smoke and mirrors, change the subject, etc.

Speaking of the devil, where is Rollo or has he been forced to respond only via the "Wreckage" account?

1 DIVISION of the parent company I work for did more than that. :)

2005 fiscal sales were almost 7 billion for said division, to give you an idea.

you've corrected nothing . . .

apoppin, Crazyfool was apparently wrong assuming that people couldn't purchase cards at the 7800 launch and Ronin corrected him (albeit, a bit harshly). I don't see Ronin's statement as any sort of AEG endorsement.

Ronin is as "nVidia" as Rollo is. He pimps their HW for free stuff although he claims to be unbiased and moderates a pro-nVidia forum.

In the post just before Ronin's, i said Rollo had no defenders . . . THEN he posted and i made my comment about "ONE defended"

get it?

ANYway, Ronin cleared nothing up [as usual] . . . we still don't know if Rollo paid for his cards or got them free - we just know cards are available for sale there.

And just for that, I'll be taking pictures of my multitude of ATi cards, just for you, bud. ;) X1800's, X1600's, X1300's, X8XX's...whatever you want to see that I have.

There was nothing to clear up as far as Rollo's concerned. I debunked the wrong assumption that you couldn't buy the 7800's at the launch, when in fact you could (and several of the 200 or so people there did).

this thread isn't about you . . . nor about ati or nVidia cards you claim to possess. . . . you have always been up front about getting free HW [and it's clear you prefer nVidia ] and i see no "issue" as my comment was directed at Rollo

After reading through just a fraction of your 2000+ posts at Rage3d, good luck defending yourself as not being biased.

I honestly hope this anti AEG sentiment is being played out everywhere on net. And I hope all companies engaged in this sort of viral marketing are taking note of it. This is great!!

It is we who run these forums, not you!! now get the fvck out!!
