today confirmed that it will be one of the first semiconductor companies to manufacture select up-coming graphics processing units

sounds like nv40 is going to be .11u

big mistake IMO

They'll probably have to though. ATI is going to go with 110nm later this year also, both supposedly as an intermediate step with the goal of using 90nm for the 2nd or 3rd gen after R420 and NV40. Apparently they are both going to use the TSMC foundry, which should be interesting.

....along with everyone else, eventually.

Anyway, NV40 is almost definitely .13 I say. .11 won't be until NV45 at the earliest.

I don't think it would be a bad move, assuming there were no production problems like they had when they moved to 130nm. It would certainly help them ramp clock speeds up and keep it cooler. I really doubt it will happen with the nv40 though.
