http://www.fudzilla.com/home/item/31069-nvidia-to-bundle-metro-last-light-with-its-gpus

We have seen price wars, marketing wars, FUD wars and all other sort of "wars" between various companies in the industry but we never could have imagined that AMD and Nvidia would engage in what we can now call the bundle wars. While AMD has the upper hand with its recent Never Settle and Never Settle Reloaded bundles, leaving Nvidia with free-to play games, Nvidia managed to snatch an impressive AAA title from AMD, Metro: Last Light.

While AMD was bragging about Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Nvidia stepped up and will apparently offer the Metro: Last Light game with GTX 660 and above. The deal between 4A Games/Deep Silver and Nvidia actually does not come a s surprise considering that most demos were actually running on Nvidia hardware and Nvidia logo is proudly standing on the Metro: Last Light web site.
The new Metro bundle promotion should start as of April 16th and by the looks of it, it could be one of the most impressive upcoming games. We are also sure that Metro: Last Light will be a part of any GPU benchmark for quite some time, just as it was the case with its predecessors.

I seem to remember these bundle wars going on for years back in the early days 2000's

they used pack tons of shit games with gpus that you would never want to play

now they are getting better because they just give you a few quality titles. the never settle/never settle reloaded bundles were pretty badass.

NO
http://www.insidermonkey.com/blog/i...amd-this-underdog-is-just-another-dog-104690//Unfortunately, AMD has been fighting a losing battle on both fronts. In the first quarter of 2013, AMD’s graphics card market share declined from 36.3% to 35.7% year-over-year, while Nvidia’s share rose from 63.4% to 65.7%.
Meanwhile, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD)’s share of the CPU market plunged to 16.70%, down from 27.70% a year earlier. Meanwhile, Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)’s CPU market share rose from 72.30% to 83.30% over the same period.
Nvidia turns lemons into lemonade
Even worse, AMD lost its once dominant position in notebook computers, which require more compact, energy-efficient graphics solutions. Between the third quarters of 2011 and 2012, AMD’s share of the notebook graphics business plunged from 52% to 34%, while Nvidia’s share rose from 49% to 66%.

Are they ever going to include a game I actually want to play? AMD is killing it with not only AAA games, but GREAT games. Been waiting to pick up a second GTX 670 until Nvidia either drops the price or entices me with a good bundle. This does nothing for me.

Great can't wait! This is one of the best FPS games for sure! I'm sure this game will feature PhysX as well, just like the original Metro..

Not to be off topic but NV is bundling Dead Island Riptide with their cards as well.I liked the original despite it's bugs and various shortcomings.

I dont understand that chart at all. First there is no ATI anymore, it is AMD. and how can intel have 13%? They dont make a discrete card, and if they are counting the integrated graphics, intel should have a much larger portion, like over 50% since most cpus are intel and they all have igp of some sort and very few have a discrete card.

Anyway, I just finished Metro 2033, and I really liked it. Of all the bundle games, Last Light is the one I would definitely be most interested in. I personally thought their in game credits for free to play games was pretty lame compared to AMDs free games.

Edit: Hmm.... Guess my likes in games are different than several posters. I think the games in the AMD bundle are good also, but Last Light is just a game that I want to play based on Metro 2033. I have to say though it is really nice that you can get a free game with a card as cheap as the HD7770.

That is still a massive margin over AMD. But most people here say steam's survey doesn't count because then sky is blue and it doesn't vibe with their opinions.

The issue with steam results is that install base does not equal market share. Market share is based on current sales. Install base is based on everything out there going back to the dawn of time.

Steam measures install base.

This is so awesome. Both AMD and Nvidia are not just bundling games; they're bundling HIGH-QUALITY games. Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, and now Metro: Last Light? Those are huge titles, and they're just giving them away with cards. That's crazy.

I already got my pre-order in for Last Light anyway, I'm expecting it to be really good.

Metro last light? Eh weak.

Really? What would you prefer?
