So from reading the announcements on HardOCP, both XFX and EVGA are getting in on this. EVGA is GTX260/280 only.

XFX is bundling with the 9 series. Doesn't specify which 9 series cards, but the middle one definitely looks like a 9800GT. The one on the right is a 9800GTX/GTX+ I'm guessing, which I don't really care for. I'm not sure what the card on the left is (a 9600GT? another version of the 9800GT?)

Very true. I wish more ATI vendors would bundle some good games...Asus does it sometimes.

I wish they didn't... bundled games fall into two categories:
1. Games that are good and I already own.
2. Games that I don't want.

Now if they bundled it with a "1 free game from walmart" or something like that, then it would have made sense.

Yeah it's only worthwhile to me if it's something I'd actually pay money to buy. If it's bundled with a craptastic title, like Frontlines: Fuel of War, or one I'm not interested in, like R6: Vegas, it's pretty much worthless to me. Or if the company offers the bundle long after the title has been released, and I already own it by then.

On the whole though, most of the bundle offers have been pretty decent recently (GRID, Crysis, Witcher, CoD4, FC2, etc).

Hmm...it looks like XFX isn't offering the rebate on the FC2 bundle (exact same card as the CoD4 bundle). At that price, that's kind of a mediocre deal considering how handily it gets beaten by the 4830, which are now showing up with rebates. At that rate, I'd just get the 4830 and buy FC2 separately. Come on XFX...get with it.

This BFG offer seems less crappy...free FC2 + 3DMark Vantage + mini flash light for registering a GT200 card. So in theory, you could combine that with the BFG birthday discount (GTX260 for ~$210 AR), which isn't too shabby.

Best Buy does that on occasion. For instance, they often offer their gaming notebooks like that Gateway (17" with GF Go 8800 GTS) with a free game, and you get to choose from anything in stock with value up to $49.99.

pretty cool, i have been hearing about best buy in good ways recently...

And that is assuming you are not a pirate :), those guys would buy the 4830 seperately and just download FC2

Trouble with bundles is by the time prices stabilize, bundles seem to disappear. The 4850 had a great bundle upon release, but of course I missed it - thinking prices were bound to drop.
