The site says "ABIT NF7-S" and nothing about revision 1.X and 2.X. It also says nothing under "Motherboard Solutions".
Sorry, they are the users at nforcershq forums who beta tested the drivers/utilities for NVidia.

I think it's a bummer that Asus' flagship board, the A7N8X-Deluxe isn't supported but the non-MCP-T based version of the A7N8X-E is.

Me no likey :frown:

This seems more and more like maybe a v0.8 release. Getting there, but not quite ready.
It's great though that they're doing something like this for the small enthusiast market.

Do you actually know what the -E is? I've been trying to find information on it, but I've come up empty.

If you click on the link for it on the supported boards list it takes you to the A7N8X Deluxe page at Asus, I believe it just indicates the newest revisions with the Ultra400 Chipset. The reason the Deluxe say soundstorm certfied and the E doesn't is lack of updates to the list as the Deluxe had it's cert pulled long ago and it was originally just for Soundstorm and the utility was added as a catagory.

So if you have the A7n8x Deluxe Rev 1.X you should be fine? 😀 ?

Nope, look at the list, no SoundStorm certification, and you can't use the advanced tab of the utility (I checked on my rev 1.04 board)

I can't say, thus far the full bios support for this utility from the manufacturers has been less than impressive for various reasons, and for some like myself it is currently just a glorified HARDWARE monitoring utility 😉 EDIT: looks like Asus isn't fully supporting it and vice versa either 🙁

No advanced tab for my A7N8X Deluxe 1.04
It doesn't even monitor voltage/temp.

NV people if you're reading this, it's U-S-E-L-E-S-S

Where's the next NForce2 Audio Control Panel, etc.?

It works perfect with the reference boards and does all that it's billed to. Once again, it's up to the board makers to fully support this utility with BIOS upgrades, and some do not want to due to having their own utilities they feel are a marketing advantage for their boards, that some view this software as a rival to their own is no surprise to me. I won't be surprised if this utility eventually comes as part of the software bundle and bios support from certain companies while others continue to offer their own prioprietary solutions.

Nothing bad will happen if my board isn't supported, right? The options will only be locked out, right?

That doesn't make any sense; Asus released a whole suite of BIOS upgrades earlier this month. In fact, in the beta version I had access to (0.9.3), they included an older version of the -E BIOS than what even Asus had listed. There's got to be something more to it than mobo makers "causing problems," especially since Asus doesn't even have its own utility.

PS JAGedlion, you'll be fine

PPS DAPUNISHER, one of the few Google results is an Xbit page that says that it's a version of the A7N8X with GigE support; none of the boards currently have GigE support

It sucks. For me anyway. I have the Asus A7N8X Rev. 2 1.06 PCB Ultra 400. The utilility doesn't do anything for me but show some system information and allow adjustments of FSB and AGP Bus. Thats it. I guess I have to wait for a later revision...

Hey ViRGE I see that blurb about the E version with gigabit and WIFI support but it's no where in site yet. There's no good excuse for the lack of bios support for this utility from vendors at this time, and believe me they have known about it for quite awhile 😉

Advanced utilities aren't available to me either on my NF7-S Rev. 2.0 with BIOS 18. I'd flash to BIOS 19 but it hasn't helped anyone else so I won't risk another dead chip.

"You will loose all changes not previously applied"

looks like they can't spell too... :disgust:
advanced tab won't work for me 🙁
