Recently, I've been getting problems with the Nvidia System Sentinel with my PCI-E 6600 GT. It complains I do not have the supplemental power connector attached to the card, however, 6600 Gts do not need power connectors in the first place! I started getting this problem after I installed an Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 6 [Rev.2] and I have a hunch this problem could be caused by the new cooler. I think the problem might lie in my PSU, which is a Thermaltake XP480 400 W. I did read somewhere that most PSUs only give out 66% of the wattage they claim (which would mean my PSU only gives out 264 W). Using www.extreme.outervision.com (it told me I needed about 289 W), it seems like I am not getting enough wattage for the system which could lead to my problems. This problem does occur with my video card overclocked and clocked down to default speeds. Any suggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated.
