I'd really love to see them make a PCI Card simply because I want to see some competition for SB. The problem right now is that SB has EAX3 and all kinds of games are being developed for it but no other cards can do EAX3. It would be like if only 1 video card could do DX9 and no other cards had the license to do it. Odd predicament.

Ummmm... I thought that WAS the situation before this new generation of video cards 😀

as far as surround and pro logic go, is there any channel encoding? i thought anything besides dd or dts was just delays and fades and other fx tricks to simulate surround sound
