nVidia SLI Profile patch

They're just to make it easier having a pre-configured profile. But each pre-configured profile is fully configurable so a user can change anything they like. Or, they can opt to make their own profile.

I'm just not sure how you came across that page. I mean, you have an ATI card according to your sig. Unless you have another rig with an Nvidia SLI setup, are you just reading the Nvidia site for fun? 😉

Nah, some of the tech sites I visit post links to other articles/reviews and then I sometimes post them here. This I posted specifically because I think I remember OCGuy (can't remember if it was him or someone else with SLI) mentioning something about Arma II not running well.

Thanks for the heads up thilan really appreciated. I have been waiting for something like this.

Does anyone know if it works with the 182.** driver?

Just tried it and it works. Adds a nice boost where its needed.

SLI users can create their own profiles, but SLI itself has some internal variables that aren't exposed by the nVidia control panel. They can be configured using nHancer though. The nVidia recommended SLI profile is usually specific to the game.

So what's the patch for? Are there different optimizations to what you could do on your own?
More than likely it adds more than just a basic profile, but also modifies driver code. The kind of application specific massaging that is constantly required for multi-GPU.

That?s not a knock at nVidia, but rather a knock at the nature of the beast that is multi-GPU. It?s simply not as robust as a single GPU system.
