I recently purchased a skinomi screen protector for the nvidia shield that comes with spray on stuff that is supposed to help, but it ended up getting behind the glass and now i have pretty bad water damage on my screen, what am I supposed to do about this? the warranty doesn't cover it and skinomi isn't going to do anything about it. Is there any way to fix it? or are there screen replacements available?

When you say water damage, do you mean discoloration caused by water marks, dead pixels, a deadzone for touch, or something else?

You could ask nVidia to fix it. If would likely cost as much as a replacement screen. Which is better than a broken screen. You could also contact Skinomi - while you are almost certainly correct that they'll say it's not their fault, I would never assume this until I'd talked to them. If it's discolored, you could take the glass off the screen and clean it. This will likely help is it's a dead zone for touch as well - if the water got in there and changed the capacitance of the region, touch wouldn't work. If it's dead pixels... that's a bummer. You'll likely need to wait a bit for the replacement parts vendors on Ebay to stock up... or else pay whatever nVidia wants to change to fix it.

Sure, doesn't hurt to ask. But I expect if Nvidia does have an option for repairing the device it'll probably be expensive and better off buying another.

No offense, by why would you need a screen protector on a screen that is already pretty well protected?

Nvidia has no option for repairing the device, and the damage looks to be just discoloration and maybe some LED damage, also, the only reason i got the screen protector is because it came with the skin i got for the shield. Also, there is no replacement screen i can buy and nvidia doesn't sell them
