PS: When the MX is available I will replace all gfx cards in my company with MX cards!

It's never a bad time for ATi, and stock price doesn't show true company asset ATi has been here since the 70's, they are a well structured and fortfied company who hold OEM loyalties with companies since before nVidia was created.
3dfx on the other hand, is going down hill.

I love it how people can look up stock quotes on Yahoo and all of a sudden become market analysts.

I'm not sure how big your allowance is, but you should definately consider investing part of it in the stock market. I eagerly await more insight from you before I make any additional investments.

Hardware: maybe you didn't understand the previous comments. Stock prices have absolutely no bearing on a company's viability. It only reflects the popularity of that company's stock with investors at this particular moment. The only reason NVidia's stock is so high is because of the X-Box deal; before it was announced, its stock was at $20 as well. ATi still has twice the revenue of NVidia ($288 million vs. $148 million for the last quarter).
Actually, the stock was at $70 before the X-box thingy... then it climbed up to like $125 or so, and dropped down to 90 or so slowly, hten it climbed way back up, split 2 for 1, and then you've got the current price.

Stock price actually has no bearing on the value of the company. You want a true comparision you need to compare Market Captilizationa, Total Revenue and Total Net earnings. Those are the measure of the value of a company.
I completely agree...I was just stating that it hasn't been $20 a share for nvidia for a while. And no, i don't agree with Hardware(and i doubt anyone does).

Apple now OEM...whoop de doo. ATi has made vid cards for Apple for far longer, matrox did and are starting again, 3dfx has since last year. ATi will NOT be surpassed for Apple OEMs for a looooong time...and by then a new graphics card company should emerge (be it 3dfx again, matrox, etc...nVidia wasn't that great till recently).
MX cheap and powerful...well no sh!t! Lets think how they saved big $ on this card...SDRAM...ok that does account for $150...possibly the 2d sucks? Cheap RAMDAC maybe? Cheap or less filters for 2d? Twinview means nothing unless both monitors look good, which I don't know will happen. Yes, it is fast in 3d games for its price...but which do you do more...3d games or 2d programs? That is why I am sticking with my G400 max...the GeForce (1...2 is too much dough to justify it) has crappy 2d.
Reviews everywhere...well, there are reviews of the Cyrix III now, does that mean it is good? No. There were reviews of the i820 board all over the place too cuz it was "the second coming" (from intel) and that board sure sucked ass. Having reviews everywhere means nothing except that nVidia sent a lot of GeForce2MX's out to reviewers.
Plus, ATi has much more revenue than nVidia. Matrox might too. Don't gasp for air, matrox is a big boy in the PROFESSIONAL graphics department, professional video tools, scientific and industrial imaging, as well as network solutions. They are not the one trick dog that nVidia is. 3dfx...lets just say that the Voodoo3 was the best selling card for quite a few months...they did very well with it. Only when the Voodoo5 started being made did 3dfx lose some ground due to shortages, oh well, they will rebound. Why? Because they were the pioneers of the 3d market...just like intel is ahead of amd still because they are VIEWED as the starter of the microchip market and are known better than AMD.

Mikewarrior, you think Nvidia got to a share price of 70 based on market performance? It hit seventy because of the x-box deal, or at least leaked word of it, then just continued to rise. Without that deal Nvidia would have been lucky to break 30-40.
