Nvidia problem

I just got a Herc. MX and am getting the same problem I had with a tnt2 vanta I used to have. There is a distortion in games that makes it look like the screen is a magnifying glass. In Delta force the scope is egg shaped. And Starcraft is just weird looking. I have the 631 nvidia drivers and the VIA 4in1 4.24. Both drivers were'nt available when I had the vanta. This is on a fic 503+/k6-2 400. Any help is much appreciated

I think you need to adjust the Pincushion on your monitor.

The Nvidia cards have lots of weird visual problems that's for sure. My GeForce2 is plain funky sometimes. Have you completely removed any old drivers from previous cards? And also check all your monitor settings, trapezoid, parallel, pincushion, etc.

Is it happening at any particular resolution?

Not exactly sure what "pincushon" is. In the moniter's menu the is a "side-pin" setting but that didnt help any. Monitor is a Princeton EO70. The game settings are 640x480. Its like a curved mirror, big in the center and all bunched up on the edges.

<edit> Just tried Baldurs Gate 2 at 800x600 and 640x480. 8x6 is fine but 6x4 has same problem.hhmmm </edit>

hehehe...no doubt dude, I noticed that myself. Very &quot;finicky&quot; cards. Damn brutal when they run proplery, but they can develop quite an attitude sometimes, hehehe....
