Looks like NVIDIA is not done with GeForce GTX 10 series just yet. A new TITAN with the LED-illuminated shroud is coming. Little is known at this point, but we can easily assume it won’t be cheap.

The new card will be the seventh installment in TITAN series. It’s hard to keep track so I made a list:

  • GeForce GTX TITAN (Kepler)
  • GeForce GTX TITAN Black (Kepler)
  • GeForce GTX TITAN Z (Kepler)
  • GeForce GTX TITAN X (Maxwell)
  • TITAN X (Pascal)
  • TITAN Xp (Pascal)
  • TITAN X(?) Collector’s Edition (?)
Theoretically, the new model could also be called TITAN Xp Collector’s. Although the fastest TITAN ix currently TITAN Xp, the name on the card is still TITAN X.

Just a single question... why?

I wonder what this valve is for, maybe it's a hybrid with waterblock?

For Pascal this makes no sense, seriously they are going to Pascal titan # 3 here????? If this was Volta then it make sense.

The stock price boom will be nearly all down to the compute/AI upside that has developed recently.

Their very dominant position in the gaming market hasn't moved much since Maxwell.

If this is water cooled and somehow allowed to clock up more then it makes some sense.

Like the 1070ti it'll be a much about making the product seem fresh over Xmas as anything else.

Yeah if they can get a special edition to clock higher than the usual 2100mhz, then that could be something special for some. Not for me, lol. But for some...

If it’s Volta I’ll be very excited. I’ve been treading water with 1080ti for too long. I can’t believe they’ll release another Pascal Titan but then again.....

I think the current consensus for Volta is Q2/1s days of Q3?

I'm starting to think a GTX 2080ti/4k 144hz Gsync screen will hit the $3k mark.
Definitely $2.6k.

Just trying to wrap my head around that still.

No way I expect a Volta, but if it was, the premium would be hilarious. At this point that card would easily be $2,000 and they'd sell out in microseconds after release.

Nvidia is more cult than tech company last few years but i dont think so.2k is insane. But i am sure first volta will be milking midrange x04 SKU(Gv104) for 700+.They will make far more money this way than with Titan.
They increased price for those midrange SKU by 350% since fermi. Its golden mine for them selling what used to be 200USD GPU for 700+USD.
Then TITAN for early adopters milking and after they milk enough they will release normal High-end card 2080TI for "normal" price.

Calling a piece of hardware that will depreciate in value daily a "collectors edition" seems silly to me.

I'm thinking it may be Volta. Some executive at Nvidia probably slapped some marketing guy upside the head in the first meeting after Vega Frontier Edition and said, "why didn't we think of that?". 😀

Red and green likely means it has RGB, though it also may be a coy reference to AMD vs Nvidia, as well as Christmas colors for a holiday launch. Then we get the mainstream 2000 series 2-3 months later.

Could this be an exceptionally terrible way of introducing GV104 at premium prices?

I mean surely nv is itching to get those titan margins on xx80 level chips.

I saw one interesting theory, that it's a full GP100. After all, they are on to Volta now and need to get rid of the chips. Just cut the DP to 1/3 or something. Throw in water cooling and some nVidia marketing of course.
