nVidia Plugin for PIX for Windows

I am trying to use PIX to debug DirectX, but PIX doesnt recognize the plugin. I checked the directory that it is suppose to be in, and its there, so it got installed properly, but under the advanced options in the "New Experiment" it shows no installed plug-ins. I am running 32-bit Vista on one of the new Macbook Pros with a 256MB 8600M GT. Is the plug-in compatible with that? If not, is there another plug-in that will work? I think the reason why it doesnt work is because the installer doesnt let me install the instrumentalized drivers. It say's that there is no compatible hardware. I'm assuming that is because it is a laptop card. Does anyone know of a work around? Also, does it work in XP? Thanks.
