Umm, the article is dated 7/26. Today is 7/26
I wish they didn't feel the need to have six current-model boards out at any given time...Originally posted by: shuttleteam
Why all these little bumps along the line? I wish they would focus on faster driver development for current hardware and come out with better GPU architecture instead of ramping clockspeed of current lines. :|

"Valve" stated they have a fix, so it's not really a problem at this point. It's highly unlikely anyhow that they'd drop MSAA for SSAA; SSAA is entirely too resource draining compared to MSAA.

Apparently there's no problem at all. At least nothing we haven't already seen in other games anyway.I wonder if the HL2 problem will be fixed in these cards...

I agree, as it seems in theory that you can pull SSAA off completely in drivers on any card(this is how Nvidia added it to the GeForce1/2). That said, I'm not an engineer, so there may very well be some reason why it can't be done.:QOriginally posted by: ElFenix
would be nice if it was, oh, i dunno, user selectable

above the 9600 and below the 9800.
fact is, if you want the speed you have to pay for it.
if 9600 is not enough, pay up or look elsewhere.
