nVidia Keyhole: Free trial!

Ok, I searched "satellite" and "keyhole," so if this is a repost, it is the original poster's fault. So repost nazis: if this is a repost, make your own thread to crap on.

anywho, nVidia Keyhole is a program that is basically just a 3d globe on your computer, you can rotate it, zoom it . . and the resolution is high enough (in some areas) to differentiate between sedans, econoboxes, SUV's, vans, trucks, etc. I can easily spot my house, and my car in the driveway!

you can also go see the world, as all the major foreign cities have very high resolution (you can make out people in Tokyo . . !)

LT runs on all video cards. NV runs on Nvidia cards only. Going to try out the NV version right now.

Bah.. I looked at the link "Will my computer run LT Keyhole" And ATI isn't in the list of cards supported.

aa, I got confused, maybe its only the NV version that has the free trail.

But don't give up, check the LT version, it completely rocks.

You can put an address in and it will zoom down to it.

I can't see mine. It's this blurred blob. On the state website I can almost make out the cars. Apparently only areas like NYC can you see anything.

 

Do the other "Pay" versions give you more detail.

I'm just seeing solid colors in all areas I've looked at so far.

Very neat! I saw my house...albeit not in great detail, but I'm not in the city either. Wish it worked faster and with more detail, but...eh...I still was surprised this kind of software existed.

I tried this a few months back and I was blown away by some of the detail, especially over some of the metropolitain areas.

Hint: Las Vegas strip. *WOW* You can read the signs off the sides of the buildings, even if the vantage point is almost vertical!
