Hello all,
I have done a decent amount of research on line and just can't seem to get an answer. I am looking to upgrade my graphics card in my gaming machine and building a new music recording/file server/having friends over to LAN game machine. I currently have a 9800gtx that I am going to replace with a g280. I would love to use a board with the hybrid power feature as I am really only going to use the 9800 occasionally and will mainly be recording music and digital file storage with the machine and like the idea of less power draw. All I can find are AMD boards with the 8200mGPU which is what I need to make hybrid power work. As far as I can tell. I would love to get an Intel board so I can use it as an excuse to buy a new 8500 at the new lower price and move my 8400 over the the music machine. Also I just can't get behind AMD these days, even after loving them for all of early 2000s.
Not sure what to do if I can't get an Intel based mobo with hybrid power. Maybe just get any old IG mobo and when I have friends over pop the case and insert 9800gtx. Just seems like a bit of a ghetto hybrid power solution.
So after a bunch of statements here is the question. . .
are there any currently available hybrid power intel mobo's, and if there are what are the ones the people are liking these days?
Thanks for any responces,
