1378 on GPU and +250MHz on VRAM. 1920x1080

Yes that score is stock Sapphire Tri-X OC R9 290s under water. core 1000/mem 1300

Now here is the score with core at 1100/mem 1400
1r5l4p.jpg

For reference those Titan X 1381 and R9 290 1122 overclocks are average according to HWBot. So those two results are very close to average oc vs average oc.

It would be interesting to see those clocks *without throttling* compared across a wide variety of games (and ofc including the 290x/980 with average oc's).

Granted the titan X only has an average from 73 results atm (while the 290 has over 4k results so is a pretty big dataset), so more time is needed to establish the reliable average baseline.

Why do people use Valley instead of Heaven for benching gfx cards? I thought Valley was a lot more CPU limited than Heaven.

I am loving this card, clocks at 1.4Ghz+ on core, 8.16 Ghz on the memory and rock stable.

Holy crap!
Am I to understand that this is on the stock cooler?

Edit: okay yeah I went over all the posts and this is impressive as hell.
I've kind of dismissed the titan X after seeing all the reviews conclude 33% faster for 100% higher price but I didn't think they would overclock this well. I can't wait to see what they can do with good thermal paste and watercooling blocks.

I am also shocked at how good of an overclocker this card is, imo if these things came with top of the line aftermarket coolers they would be one of Nvidia's best offerings (top card) ever.

Arguably the best OEM (air) cooling solution ever. Full coverage PCB component cooling, easily removed GPU cooler for TIM swapping, very decent fan, killer looks complete with window, etc. Put that on a Maxwell and you have killer potential. Love the aftermarket power delivery and cooling designs; anything more is gravy.

Great card, I want one but I'm not paying more than $750 for any single graphics card :(

I have to question the sanity of the people buying a titan and only playing at 1080P

Before you question their sanity, ask them if they were thinking of upgrading their monitors anytime soon.

So here is Heaven. Right in line with DimmyK. I have 300MHz deficit on CPU overclock and only 480MHz on TitanX GDDR5.

I feel that Valley is more CPU dependent. My 2500 is holding me back.

2500K is the shizznick for over clocking........OPps you have one, not sure what you meant? Unless you need better cooling? Open the window its winter outside!!!!

I meant that I think that my 2500k is bottlenecking my Titan a little in Valley test, especially at 1080p. That's my theory though, I might be wrong. The cooling is adequate, I'm at 4.6Ghz and temps are in upper 50s at load.

It will auto shut off if it goes too high, self built in fail safe. I'm sure if you could go over 5Mhz your score would bloom. I just scored a 3200(cant find it) with my 3930K @default3800 with a 780TI over clocked to 1300/2000. In 1080P
