I have 3 22" Samsung Displays sitting side by side (the inner angled). My main machine has 2 8800GT's in it, and my second is using my older 8800GTX. Considering you cannot use dual monitors in SLI mode, is it possible to configure the rig with all 3 cards while still wiring the two GT's in SLI with a eVGA 590 Ultra mobo?

If I'm wasting my time thats fine, but I've been using Synergy till now and the prospect of the power consumption of two topend rigs when the second one is usually just running music and forums while I game, not to mention the bugs with Synergy's mouse sensitivity if I DO want to game on said second rig made me investigate the possibility of simply putting all 3 cards in one machine.

Suggestions/flames/facts all appreciated as usual, thank you.

It's not supported at all.

Some people have been able to jury-rig it into working on XP by using a non-nvidia PCI card for the third adapter.

This will not work in Vista because all of your display adapters need to run off the same WDDM driver and the Forceware drivers will disable the 3rd card when you enable SLI.

Hmm. Odd. I was able to get it to work by disabling the GTX and then enabling SLI and enabling the GTX again via the device manager.

Though doing that everytime I reboot would be pretty stupid. Maybe I can make a bat file to do that.

Edit: Also, is it normal for a (single) OC eVGA 8800GT to pull higher 3dmarks than a 8800GTX? My results are rather confusing.
