I gave them a call to see what was up. I guess it is an error. They had no idea till I called. Said they're going to cancel all orders.

Some vendors have been correcting the price and sending the merchandise... I ordered some mis-priced sound cards a few months ago and they shipped at the legit price. Sure you can return them but that is a headache...

I wouldn't even bother. I have recieved promo emails from them (even after requesting to be taken off the list) that show geforce FX cards for like 25 bucks. Then you click the link and of course the website takes 20 minutes to load and it doesn't even take you to the right product. I think they know they have careless people who can't type the prices in right so they just slapped that disclaimer on every page. Good luck to you all who try anyway! :)

at the risk of sounding dumb....can't you dispute the charge with your CC company if they turnaround and change the price on you?

BAHAHAHAHA!

What a crappy company! Companies that don't proofread/check their webpages/DBs for discrepancies bite. For example, bestbuy.com when they had the gf4 ti4600 screwup.

I got in on these on the wee early morning hours on that wallet place. They say in policy that they'll honor pricewatch prices (and you could find it on Pricewatch, at least I could originally) so I made sure to mention it. :D

Go their policies page, and wham first thing mentioned, "Pricewatch.com customers please note: GameVE.com honors all pricewatch.com prices on its website, no need for any special note." Of course, after everyone does this a billion times it might not work at all...

Edit:
I should mention that American Express has nice protection for these shady deals, like 90-day satisfaction, etc.

So if I saved a screenwatch of PriceWatch before I ordered it (I actually went there after reading here to see what they said), I could possibly still get this card for $17+shipping unless they use their cancellation policy against it.

Although I doubt I'll get the card, it was worth a shot.

I don't see how it's shady.

Okay, I haven't slept in 48 hours... I dunno, but there was something about charging full price, not accepting returns, or whatever. :)

Not that this matters because of the deal deadness, but a web site that can't distinguish a Visa from a MC number seems so primitive.

Would you mind sending me a screenshot, too?
