NVidia Geforce 6800 processor use issues

I just bought an Nvidia Gforce 6800 and whenever i open Windows media player or any other video program my cpu usage goes up to 100% and lags my computer down. anyone have ideas?

My first suggestion would be to read the forum rules. Especially the very first post that says this forum isn't for troubleshooting.

Oddly enough, there's a forum called "Video", and forum called "Software - Apps" and a forum called "Technical Support". I suggest you try one of those.

while i appreciate the fact that i have made a mistakle in my posting, the snide tone which you took when replying was thouroughly unwarranted. Do you feel better for having been rude? Do you think your point was communicated more effectively? I understand tha in this your Domain you wish to feel as powerful as is possible via the internet but honestly have the basic manners to be gracious towards others

It would be different if:
A) It didn't happen all the time (The mods delete some of these misplaced posts, and move others so you don't see them)

B) You had to enter this section to post, and in doing so, saw the stickied post at the top entitled "Do not post troubleshooting questions here
You MUST read these rules before posting in this forum"

It's not thoroughly unwarranted when you're so dense as to post in a Highly Technical forum instead of Technical Support, General Hardware or Video, especially when you didn't read the stickied topic.

Well excuse us Mr. "I'm going to barge in here and expect everyone to fulfill my wishes right at this moment and I'm not even going to read the rules even though its my first time and I'm going to be a douchebag about it when people say they expected me to read said rules". If you don't like you're welcome to leave.

that's a rude welcome. :|

how about "you might have better luck over the technical support forums, highly technical is something different"? it gets the point across while remaining polite
