Anyway you look at it, we are the losers! I'm sure there are a lot of people looking to buy mid level DX10 hardware. You know, the sub $200 kind

I have to toally agree on this one. They are just waiting to find out the details and then punce on them with the latest and greatest. Wow... not only is Intel putting the smackdown on AMD with procs, but now we have Nvidia putting a hurt on them!
I just want R600 REAL benchmarks SOON so I know if I should buy an 8800 or not! =)

That turned out to not be a big deal, so I'm gonna sit on this one.

I'm not following your reasoning.
The article states that there ***appears*** to be a bug and the launch ***may**** be a soft one, not that it will be delayed.
Of course the chance that this is at all accurate is about as good as R600's chance of being launched in Tunisia , Africa...
it will most likely delay the April 17 launch.

I love it how Gstanfor takes issue with the Inquirer, but only if they're anti-nVidia.

Is it a delay because NVIDIA had announced that date? Or is it a delay because the Inq pulled it outta their butt and would rather blame them for it.
Then why no sarcasm in this thread?(and if you think the africa thread provides such evidence, then your sarcasm meter is in dire need of repair)...

sarcatic enough for you? (too bad if it isn't - bring your own anti-INQ sarcasm to the thread if you miss it that badly...)just like the entire article is nothing but speculation - pulled from INQ staff's nether regions...

Why does this always come up about Nvidia? They sure took their sweet time "waiting" with the g70 refresh and the mid-range derivatives, and they still had slower cards. And yet I see the same speculation year after year that Nvidia has some monster cards just waiting in the wings. Where's that 32-pipe 700mhz g71 that was supposed to be waiting for the x1900's?
Gstanfor upon hearing the G84/86's possible delay:A third world video card for a third world continent?
Now do you see the sarcasm that is missing in this thread? Or do we have to make the sentences color coded? The article states that there ***appears*** to be a bug and the launch ***may**** be a soft one, not that it will be delayed...Note the speculation in that statement - just like the entire article is nothing but speculation - pulled from INQ staff's nether regions...
