nVidia Forceware + HDTV

Essentially, with the crummy microsoft drivers, I can get 720p on my HDTV. With the nVidia drivers, I'm stuck in 4:3 resolutions like 1024x768. I've tried drivers that I've used before that I did have 720p on.. and they won't work either.

I have no idea what to try now, I've searched for any possible little tip but haven't found anything. Does anyone know a version of forceware that isn't messed up with HDTVs that I can use? :(

Components don't matter in this situation; it's a driver issue, but if you need to know:

Samsung 46" DLP hooked up (via PC analog connection) to:

Intel C2D E6600
Gigabyte 965P-DQ6
2x 1GB OCZ PC6400 DDR2 Platinum 4-4-4-15
eVGA eGeForce 7600GS (still need to send my old 6800GT back to BFG...)

EDIT:

To give a little more. I've already tried:

PowerStrip (created a driver for the monitor to remove the "Generic PnP Monitor")
Using older drivers that supposedly worked
Reinstalling drivers

I'm tempted to try using a DVI->HDMI cable and see if going digital can fix this.

I thought you could use powerstrip to force a resolution that you want, not just create a driver that should show a resolution that you want.
