I have an ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe. I recently reinstalled windows, and along with it, all my drives. This included the nVidia Firewall software. I think this also installed "Apache.exe", which allows me to use the browser based configuration tool for the firewall.

Now maybe it's something else, but my computer now seems to take forever to load, and seems to run slower. Could this be due to the firewall software? It has atleast three processes running (the firewall itself, and two instances of apache) for it. I don't really need the security of it, and if it's slowing down my system, it's not really worth having.

Any help you could give me would be great.

Thanks all.

nVidia Firewall is problematic and it is better not to use it.

I have 36 processes running and my computer is fast.

When a fast computer is OK hardware wise and it is running slow, in most time it is because of junk unit that when it is not protected well, and not from few running processes.
