nVidia Firewall Question

I just recently upgraded my computer and have downloaded/installed the newest forceware drivers from nVidia's website as well as SP2 from windowsupdate. However, it seems like nVidia's firewall is blocking my access to my network sharing connections and I'm not able to share files w/ my other computer. Window's Firewall is completely disabled at this point and everything is set to share, but the two computers act as if nothing is there. The network does operate however because both PCs (plus my PS2 and XB) are accessing the net just fine w/ the router.

I googled this and stumbled upon a post where you can edit the settings of the firewall by clicking the "nVidia web-based interface" icon on the desktop. Sadly though, I don't have that icon! I did a search on the PC and couldn't locate the file the link would point to so I'm wondering if anyone would know how the heck to get into this firewall so I can start to edit it. Thanks.

I am not familiar with NVIDIA Firewall. However most Firewall programs has a setting that might called Trusted Zone, or Intranet, or Local Network etc. that allows putting the local IPs and thus taking them out of the Firewall Filters.

I know 🙁 I just don't know how to start up the firewall software to open up some ports and make the two PCs talk to one another. I'll keep digging around. If anyone knows the executable though I'd appreciate it. This is the last item I have left to complete to get this PC ready to go so I can backup my wife's and install her new hardware (should go much more smoothly as all the trials and tribulations have experienced on this PC).

Don't the newest "NVidia Platform Drivers" have the firewall config utility? I don't have a board with "native NVidia firewall" support, but I had read that they were adding the firewall support apps to their platform driver package.

That's right, I'm still used to the video drivers being called Detonator so I didn't realize, if you got the Forceware drivers then you got graphic card drivers. You need to go back to their site and download the Platform/nForce drivers... and also possibly the "Nvidia system utility"
