Nvidia Errors

While using Autodesk Inventor 2015 I keep getting an error when modeling. It only happens when the model begins getting complicated and I begin to see the model tearing on the screen, the screen goes black and I get an error like this:

Nvidia Windows Driver Kernel mode version 347.88 has stopped responding, but has been recovered..

Ive had some instability since building this computer back in 2011, but it has gotten progressively worse. Yesterday I couldn't model at all and then today it went back to normal.

Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3
Intel I7 2600k
Coolermaster CPU Cooler
Geforce GTX 570
2x 4gb Kingston HyperX DDR5
OCZ Fatal1ty 750W PSU
Windows 7 Home

I did a new install of Windows 7 on a new SSD a few months ago and it didn't help. I have tried putting the card into the 8x PCI-E slot, reinstall drivers, cleaning the slot, and my brother played around with some stuff and we haven't figured it out. Is it possible that my graphics card is going bad? Maybe it's a good time to upgrade to a GTX 970 and a super wide monitor.. But im a college student I dont want to spend unless I absolutely have to.

Not everyone at once now.

I ran a stress test on the graphics card with valley benchmark and the GPU temperatures rose rapidly, but nothing funny happened when it started to creep up to 75C (when I ended it)

I have 347.25 installed right now and it's still doing it.

Whenever I pan around the model in inventor the CPU usage jumps to 100% load. Is that normal?

I ran Windows Memory Diagnostics and it said that there was an error with the memory sticks. I have 2x 4gb Kingston HyperX DDR3 so I pulled out one and ran the diagnostic again and it came back okay. I still had a crash.

Now I still have that stick out and I ran a gpu memory stress test for 2 hours and it found no error.

2x Kingston HyperX Genesis 4gb 1600 in slots 2 and 4. I tested the memory again with memtest since many people said the windows memory diagnostic isn't that great. The first pass resulted in 70 errors.. The second pass resulted in 1500+ errors.

So I went and picked up 2x Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 8gb ddr3 - 1866. Inventor still crashed instantly with the error. I ran the memtest again and let it run through one pass - no errors. So I think there was two issues, now I only have one. Im suspecting the graphics card. I am going to pull the graphics card and see if it crashes. If it doesn't - then I will pick up a GTX 970

I was forced to put them in 1 and 3 because the memory sticks had a large heat sink that didnt fit underneath the cpu cooler. I haven't had any crashes today. I kept testing with a particular file that gave me problems and my brother suggested that I try modeling other stuff since the file could've been corrupted by the bad memory. So I raised the settings to quality, added some rendering, and tried to make models that had many features and faces. No issues so far - I think everything is OK and the memory was the culprit.

Edit: I see you found your problem.

Okay so that problem happened again on a new part file. Previous error code was accompanied with something like this:

the nvidia opengl driver detected a problem with the display ... error code 3

So there is new memory sticks in different slots of the motherboard. those errors are gone. Idk anymore, im thinking about just replacing the graphics card but ive stress tested both the graphics card and memory with two different applications.

I like to follow up on my threads in case other people are a bit lost. Heres a bit of an update: I rolled back the drivers once again and I reinstalled autodesk inventor again.. Problem happened again. I removed the graphics card and ran inventor with the on board intel graphics on the motherboard and it was problem free. Drumroll...

I bought a Gigabyte GTX 970 Superclocked. The card is huge, it takes alot of real estate in the enthusiast case I have.. No problems so far. I opened the file that would give the instant crash and it seems OK. If it continues to work then it means that the software that stresses the GPU/graphics memory must've missed something.

There was two problems .. The graphics card and the memory (which was seperate issue)

At this point I don't care if that memory slot wasn't working lol I have 2x 8gb memory sticks in the other slots and there has been no errors at all. I've been modeling with Inventor for the last week or two. I've used every feature and multi-body assemblies. I've even imported a mesh from a 3d scanner. No crashes or instability at all. This computer has never been so stable  and i've been 3D printing like mad. Thanks for the help. Now I just need to get back into gaming to test the card - the 970 superclocked is definitely over kill for inventor!
