Had to make a dramatic title so I could get some help.
I do think it's true though.
I installed my 5850 last night. Went from a gtx 280 to the 5850. Well anyways I have it hooked up to a HDTV and at first it didn't fill the screen completely. After messing with the settings in ccc I got it to scale so it would fit the screen. Now the problem is it won't scale in games. The screen will go black and I have to alt tab to get the display to show up. It runs fine in windowed mode but that gets annoying. It seems so far the nvidia drivers are superior. Too bad they made such a fire breathing turd. So I'm determined to get my 5850 working. Other unrelated thoughts the 5850 seems like a powerful gpu in a small package. My gtx 280 dwarfs this thing. I love the compact size and low power consumption. Yes that's important to me. I even undervolt my i7 while overclocking it. My gtx 280 was just plug and play btw.
Thread has run it's course. Locked.
