Nvidia drivers not installing

I am having a weird problem. I just put in a SATA Hard Drive and installed a fresh copy of Windows XP Home. When I try to install nvidia's Geforce drivers, they install and tell me I need to reboot. before computer shuts down I get a End Program window for a program titled "should not see me" and reboots immediately instead of doing the timed end task reboot, where it doesn't reboot for about 10 seconds but you can click to reboot now. Then when it reboots the nvidia's drivers are not installed... in fact.. when I looked under Device Manager, my video controller isn't even installed! and also not installed is video controller (VGA Compatible). I am thinking that because the basic VGA drivers aren't installed that the nvidia's aren't.... anyone have an idea of what to do on installing the basic VGA drivers?

Thanks
HK

Well, about that "should not see me" window, I get that everytime I install Dets, then, the comp immediately reboots. You're fine there.

Now, did u dl this, or did u just use the CD that came with the card??? If it is the second one, then i recommend download the latest Detonators which I linked you to.

EDIT: Is Nvidia display drivers in the add/remove programs list? Also, what exact Geforce card is this???
