Nvidia Drivers **beware**

To every one who updated to the new Forceware drivers . My video card was inverting colors and then just crashed. The new Nvidia drivers suck does any one have this problem?

im actually having great luck with the drivers, they are the first set to eliminate the startup 'lag' which is a freezeup of anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds on almost every dx9 game that i play.

then again it could be a problem specific to me (or you), but im having no problems with it.

Did you uninstall the old drivers and reboot BEFORE you installed the new drivers?

I have never had to do that with nVidia video drivers.

You should do that with both ATI and nVidia drivers. Contrary to popular rants about how good nVidia drivers are, they have their problems. One thing both ATI and nVidia suck equally at is that their uninstallers leave remnants of their drivers around that can screw things up. Most times it won't muck things up but I've seen enough cases on both sides of the fence that it is only smart to take a few extra minutes and use Driver Cleaner Pro to clean out old drivers before re-installing the new ones.
