I installed the new WHQL 40.72 drivers, Windows update shows 30.87 drivers, should I intall them or not?

No, I'd use either the 40.72 (my personal favorite) or the 30.82 from NVIDIA. I've read alotta bad posts about the 30.87 from Windows Update.

Windows update shouldn`t be showing you that if you`ve the 40.72 drivers installed,infact I was having the 30.87 drivers show up on my Windows update (was using 30.82 drivers then) but when I installed the official 40.72 drivers the 30.87 drivers don`t show up any longer at the Windows update site.I wouldn`t install them since the ones you`ve are newer and official WHQL drivers.

I'm on the earlier ('official Beta') 40.72 drivers......

any reason to update to the whql version....?

The only difference is I've seen is the new ones are digitally signed. Otherwise they seem identical right down to being dated 9/27/2002.
