Nvidia detonator driver question...

This is going to sound stupid, but I'm a little confused by nvidia's driver name policy. They have the new drivers, versions 40.41 and 30.82, and then they have their "Detonator" drivers, versions 29.42, and 28.32. People seem to be calling the 40. and 30. drivers Detonators in other posts. Are all of the nvidia unified drivers Detonator drivers, and if not, do the detonator drivers provide something that the regular ones do not? I've been installing the laters certified version, but I'm wondering if I should install one of the older versions labeled as Detonator by nvidia. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Dude, the 30.82 and 40.41 drivers are Detonator drivers as well. The 40.41 is just a beta driver and not official yet. The 30.82 is WHQL and I believe is the newest official Detonator driver.

Thanks FastFredE. I guess my follow-up question would be why does Nvidia lable some, but not all, of the drivers as Detonator drivers? Confusing...
