nvidia demos not working

This is something that has been nagging at me for some time. I bought a eVGA nvidia 5900XT back in January and it came with a CD with all the nvidia demos (Dawn, Dusk, etc.). Unfortunately I have never gotten any of them to work. All games work just fine (free Call of Duty with the card, WooHoo!).

The demos install okay but whenever I try to run them they load thru a small splash screen (small, center of moniter) and then give an error message (don't remember exact wording since I am at work) and crap out to the desktop. After getting back to the desktop I have to reboot the computer before any 3d stuff will work without a hard lock.

Running the 53.xx driver and (I believe) latest 4-in1 drivers.

Any help out there?

My system:
AMD XP 1600+
384 MB PC2100/2700
MSI kt266-pro2 motherboard
eVGA nVidia 5900XT
Soundblaster Live
Windows ME

I'm betting it's that pitiful of an excuse for an OS, WinME. 😛

If you can get the actual error message, I can be a bit more help, but that's my first guess right now.

Possible driver issue but I too say its Windows ME. Get rid of that POS operating system. Anything is better than that.
