I have a qx6700 cpu to use and I was interested in buying a nforce 7150 board from evga on newegg. Will this work I ask because it says regular quad core only not the extreme versions.

What are you intending to do with your setup? It's kinda mis-match to purchase a low-end board when you have such a nice CPU. NF 7150 doesn't offer dual channel memory, and if you're thinking about overclocking - it won't take you much further especially with a quad-core. Think average 30~50% lower OC compared to other enthusiast-oriented boards. As for NV chipsets for Intel, I can only recommend EVGA branded boards at this time. (Or some of the well-reviewed 650i boards from Asus/Gigabyte/MSI, but in the end I'd still buy EVGA boards)

Yeah I am gonna purchase an evga board. I had/have the 680i but I am going smaller now and instead of purchaseing new memory and new cpu im just moving them over. I noticed about the memory too my memory should be fine though rite I have 4 2gb sticks from ocz their 2x2gb kit.

nForce 7150 board is an mATX board with on-board video. I believe it's rather called 'GeForce motherboard GPU. It's good for office machine (you know, those little Dell boxes you can see at the bank) that'll deal with 2D applications, but not for such a high-end CPU. Your CPU really deserves a better board. And the board has 2 memory slots..

Well thats ok I can still put in 2 2gb sticks. What I wanted to know is that if It can run my cpu. I am looking for a small form factor machine. Also I have added a add on video card. So im ok in the graphics department

if it says it works with quad cores, it will work with the Qx6700 as long as it fits the socket..

Why do you not get a G33 or G35 board? They will do the same thing sa the nVidia while offering you 4 dimm slots and dual channel memory.

Well I was looking into this board here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16813121094

but it seems like there is an issue with the audio output.

But the 4 dimm slots and dual channel memory is nice since I do have another set of 2x2gb sticks so I wouldnt mind 8gb total. Plus I can overclock on the evga board. I know I can on other manufacturers but I dont trust them I like intel and their stability and Ive had no problems with the evga boards I have now.
