Nvidia caught "over optimising"

I guess we will know when Nvidia releases a new driver and reputable sites get a good look at it. Right now Nvidia is acting like they are in damage control, which is very odd considering that they control the high end market at this time. :beer:

Actually, "optimised" is the English spelling, while "optimized" is the American/Canadian way.
This holds true for other words as well. (eg.: realise/realize)

Interesting. And you would know how they are acting by what source?
 
it's funny how all people really care about in these days is the FPS performance. Image quality is really limited by the monitor therefore most people can't really tell a difference.

the shimmering issue is VERY appearent on NV40 at high resolutions in certain situations.
 
Not only has this been posted multiple times before, it also appears nVidia have fixed it with basically no performance hit.

Yeah, nVidia is spiralling hopelessly downward as they make record profits and sell 73% of the performance cards in the market. Brought to their knees by the mipmap bug most people never even noticed. :roll:

They need to follow ATIs business model and get to spend most of their time in court, and the rest apologizing for paper launches, product inavailability, and delays.

You misunderstood me, just stated how suprised I was at Nvidia's reaction. Usually they seem to save the official beta driver thing for what they consider big issues. Certainly did not suggest that this would possibly hurt their marketing position at this time. :beer:
