Wow, what a land mind of gold. Both companies launch updated mobile parts, but are nothing more than rebadged already existing previous parts. What a crock of poop. Laugh this one up, both companies just went on a rebadging spree and are proud to admit it.

What a joke.

I think it speaks volumes of Anandtechs relations with Nvidia and the free android based tablets and other goodies Anand deals out to just US forum members, when Anandtech.com decides to put AMD in the corner of shame and then just trow in Nvidia as a sidekick with "nvidia does the same" line i regards to this latest launch.

1: Whats with the partnership with Nvidia Anand? I know getting free stuff which you also give out in competition is fun, but there has to be a catch right?

2: We are in 2011 and one of the most popular techsites on the wholewideworld web.. cant even send an competition prize/item to Europe or Asia or Afrika or Oceania. What is that? Dont you make money of off us all?

Maybe this is too much negative feedback to handle..

^ Yes, massive nvidia conspiracy! lol

I'm betting we don't see anything until Q2 from either company.

Everytime companies do this a little bit of me dies inside, it is the people who buy these parts thinking they have something new and shiny that I feel sorry for (although not that sorry if they can't do a little googling before they spend their hard earned)

Lay of the coolaid and loose the tinfoilhat :whiste:

Suggesting that Anand is biased...only ruins your credibility.
Not understanding a problem with borders and laws on top of that....well, you figure it out.

This move isn't something against consumers. It's something for the OEMs and system builders who are gearing up for new models. It's about buzz words and advertising new stuff, even if the stuff isn't really new.

what are you even talking about? the thread title is by the OP and not an anandtech staff member. the article title just says stuff is launching.

Take the tinfoil hat off your head it is covering your ability to read. AMD sent out PR, Nvidia did not.

First 4 lines of the article:
AMD briefed us last week on several new and upcoming technologies and announcements. We’ve covered the AMD Memory announcement, and next up on the list is AMD’s Radeon Mobility HD 7000M. While we were getting this article ready, we also had NVIDIA launch their updated GeForce 600M parts without so much as a brief heads-up email.

First sentence of the second page of the article:
but yesterday NVIDIA quietly refreshed their entry-level and midrange mobile GPUs in a similar manner. We weren’t briefed on the updates, most likely because there’s not much to say.

Now admit your mistake and apologize to Anand for accusing him of whatever it was you were ignorantly trying to accuse him of.

ding!ding!ding!ding!!! We have a winner! The laptop manufacturers (AMD's and nVidia's customers, in this instance) want it to look like they have something new to offer. AMD and nVidia obliged.
