I'm trying to find an update to the video driver that came with my MBP. Some games I play don't work properly. For instance, if I play Diablo 2 in anything other than software rendered, it doesn't work. When I play C&C Generals, the terrain is completely black but I can see the units and buildings.

I'm hoping there are different/better drivers that work. Anyone have any info on it?

BTW.... this is my first Mac I have ever owned, besides the game issues, loving it so far.

Are you talking about windows drivers or OS X drivers?

If windows drivers than you should be able to go to nvidia's website and grab teh latest drivers.

Not for Windows. The actual driver for Macs. I don't have Windows installed on this yet because I haven't read too much into how to do it or what playing games on it is like. I'm a big gamer, so I want to try and get my Mac to work with as many games as possible.

Well installing Windows on the mac is actually really stinking hard :)

1: Download and install BootCamp from Apple's website
2: Run BootCamp to partition the drive how you would want it
3: Burn Windows Driver Disk
4: Install Windows
5: Install Drivers
6: Cry about the fact that you just put Windows onto your MacBook Pro.
7: Come to terms with this fact
8: Realize that your computing life is over if you have sunk this low, ship MacBook Pro to TheStu, become hermit in Indonesia.

See, 8 easy steps!

You may still want to check nVidia's website, and also run Software Update on your system, see if they have released any new drivers.

Thankfully the full, non-beta version of Boot Camp will be available in a little over a month from now ;)

Video driver releases for OS X are handled solely by Apple. You're at their mercy for driver updates.
