Nvidia 81x Drivers

I have only tried a few of the 81.98 and 81.95 besides these are there any of the 81x versions running, performing better then these two?

Has there been any issues out there with any of the 81x that you want to stay away from and has any version really proven to be a better version?

Like all us gamers I'm just looking for the best. 😉

THANKS

I have run the 71.89's since release, and thats where I am staying until I have to update😉

I like the 82.12 Betas, it stops the shadow shimmering in CS:S (at least for me) and dosn't cause my computer to crash.

Ok my bad, let me back up here on my specs, because there is a difference. 😉

I'm running SLI on a AMD X2 3800+ with two evga 7800 GTs, now with this in mind how are the versions coming along?

THANKS

Ditto minus the shimmering though(never had a problem) but I noticed that I got some performace increases in COD2

Yeah I've run beta drivers in the past, not sure why I'm thinking not to try them, I guess the idea of having an expensive SLI gaming rig now, I want to stay as Offical and Final version on software as possible.

Well I guess they won't blow up anything, LOL

I'm just hoping there is like some MAJOR consensus on a Nvidia version is all I'm looking for. I mean there always seemed to be a consensus in the past with different versions.

THANKS

From my POV, there can be no consensus. I had to go through 3 (official) driver releases to find a set that works without glitches in the games and applications I use. Thats 81.95 btw. I dont touch beta garbage anyway, though it seems that the difference between beta and official WHQL certified drivers is not really known over at nvidia HQ.
