Out of curiosity, does that bit about purevideo acceleration apply to AGP 6800s or is that chip still irrevocably broken?

81.98 update:
pain: had to remove 81.95 and reinstalled profiles.
gain: dunno yet. 3dmark05 shows NO gain:disgust:. YMMV
yet to try the rest of the games.
HDTV still works fine so at least they didn't break it.:D

Not much there for my PCI-e 6800GT, but I'll download them for the next time I rebuild windows. I like to start off with the newest drivers available.

I dunno but i benchmarked in fear and cod2 and my 77.76 drivers get more FPS than the 81.xx drivers do. So I dont plan on upgrading anytime soon. :p

IIRC, MPEG-2 acceleration isn't broken on the AGP 6800, only WMV9.
http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2305

Wikipedia, for what it's worth, confirms this. I vaguely wish it worked, but I'm a Linux kinda guy, so I don't use WMV9 much myself. In any event, the drivers don't say anything about WMV9 being fixed, so I wouldn't expect it.
