Is this video card good enough to play newer games such as left 4 dead, Age of Origins? Thanks...
 
my friend is using a 7900GS and he can play most newer games. I believe he uses 1280x1024 resolution and runs most stuff at medium settings.

He says its fine but I tried playing a game on his system once and it was slow. I don't know if it was the game or maybe his mouse or what though.
 
I had a X1950GT up until recently and IIRC it's somewhere in the range of the 7900GS. It definitely struggles at 1280x1024 on new games like Crysis (though that is also attributable to the single core AMD64) but Left4Dead runs absolutely fine at max settings. Source engine = rediculously low requirements.

2gb DDR400ram
X1950GT oc'ed to X1950pro levels
