Oh....my.....god.....!!

Well, if you need a card NOW, get the Radeon 9800 Pro/XT, if you can wait a month or so, wait and see how good the R420 is before making any decisions, as the 6800 isn't available to buy ANYWHERE.

LOLOL... That's exactly what I said when I saw this post.

Poor thing, someone needs to train this young Padiwan.

Me, I wound not put the two in the same boat. Comparison fine, generation no. I'll wait and see what ATI's performance will be like. It'll be only a month by the time the 6800 is available.

Twice as many pipes? the NV40 has 16 also...

HardOCP says that it will have twice as many pipelines over the current 9800XT.....64% more memory bandwidth....and also 45% higher clock speeds

Yes I know the guy I was talking (Anthrax) to changed his post which said the X800 XT would have twice the pipes as the NV40 not the NV40 has twice as much at the 9800 XT which it says now.

Unless I read his post wrong which I do NOT think happend.

ATI X800 isn't worth waiting for... no PS3.0 support..
Have you guys seen the farcry video with PS3.0? SO AMAZING with displacement mapping and soft shadows...

Money not being the issue here, which should I go for because I know that NVidia has had problems with DX9 in the past but now they are said to be over. Which is better?

If I were you and seeing as how their DX9 problems are over I suggest you go buy a 5900 and play only games that use PS2.0 shaders extensively

Forget the 9800XT.

Wait a month and get the 6800Ultra.

P4 Extreme Edition with 6800Ultra..mmmmmmmmmmmm Drool.
