NVidia 520 LE chipset - ION for AMD? Is this new?

Look at the specs. ION, for AMD CPUs (HyperTransport).

Is this a new chipset? Has NV been working on a skunkworks project for AMD? I thought that they got out of the chipset business altogether...?

They have, and have had no interest in pushing AMD chipsets ever since they acquired their #1 competitor in ATI.

Looks like ACER has frankensteined an old Athlon ][ NEO CPU, cheap 520 LE chipset along with a discrete ION graphics for this REVO 100 model HTPC.
