I saw a few articles on NVidia's 3D Glasses and honestly...

I don't see the point of them.

Maybe they're trying to bring 3D to a normal home, but for now, I really don't see the point of having 3D Glasses w/ special LCD lenses.

I mean, they may make games(once there're enough of them) more realistic and movies more intense, but 3D movies can stay in theaters and games are pretty realistic already anyways.

What do you guys think?

For me, it is just another high priced toy. But, it will probably be a hit with gamers and kids.

I was talking another forum, and a TV station in Great Britain (Sky TV) is preparing to release 3DTV to consumers soon. I don't exactly know what they broadcast, but I'm guessing it's one of the larger broadcasting stations in GB.

So it might be big in parts of the world, but I don't think it'll hit the US just yet.

I was able to try this at my local fry's, they had it attached to some 60'' Laser TV demo unit. To put it shortly, I was not impressed - it certainly wasn't an eye opener, nothing close to that. A friend of mine was wearing glasses, so he was SOL.
