The installation went perfect. Now with these new drivers, There is no need to uninstall your nvidia stuff before install. It takes care of it for you.

I installed the drivers, then installed Phsyx reboot,, things running like a charm. I tested BF3 for 2 hours and I have to say these drivers fix the stuttering and fps bugs. Def they made these drivers for BF3 and Batman. thx gl

I hope you're right about this fixing BF3 graphical issues; it's been getting on my nerves.

I'll install this when I get home, thanks!

Finally I can run GLQuake at over 2,000 fps on my heavily overclocked 2 GTX 460 1GBs in SLI!

Great job, nVidia!

LOL too funny FC.

What were you getting 1500fps before these drivers ? lol

The openGL in these are solid. Photoshop uses OpenGL , so does Premiere... soo nvidia OpenGL is top notch and current version. Their DX9 DX10 DX11 are top notch. I think game devs and nvidia should talk more ,, soo there isnt issues like this BF3 bugs in the future...thx gl,

These drivers did not fix the multiplayer tri-sli gpu usage issues or the green flashing bug.

I still can't watch flash videos in firefox without crashes either....

I don't know about the other two items you mentioned but the green flashing bug I'm pretty sure is an issue with the game not the driver as it appears on both AMD and Nvidia... so don't expect that to be fixed by a driver - that will require a BF3 fix.

The tri-sli issue has a growing thread on the nvidia forums. The firefox flash crashing is rampant to the point they are asking for cards to be sent in to them for analysis.

As for the green flashing I have not seen AMD users report it anywhere and there is a thread on that too over at nvidia's forums.

Nvidia's drivers have gone the toilet lately, so many issues. They're even calling this latest beta release a 'hotfix' lol :awe:

These drivers DID fix all the problems i was having with bf3 on GTX 580. No more green graphics bug or messed up textures.

Also fixed firefox problems and media problems.

Are their OpenGL performance issues completely fixed now? Do these drivers force linear_mipmap_nearest if the application requests linear_mipmap_linear? I know the driver 275.38 I'm using don't, which is good, although if the app requests linear_mipmap_nearest the 275s doesn't force linear_mipmap_linear. Trilinear mipmaps should be forced regardless of what the app requests IMO.

honestly, I doubt tri sli is even worth it. I was so sick of multigpu issues that I'm done with them. I found that I was spending more time trying to figure out if my other card was "on" than playing games. Single card or bust for me.

Thanks for the heads up here Tweak

Can anyone comment if these have video playback issues for Windows 7 Media Center when playing HDTV broadcasts?

The 258.62's have a known bug in this area.

Edit:
The new NVIDIA GeForce 285.79 beta drivers are now available to download. Recommended for all DirectX 10 and 11 Battlefield 3 players, the 285.79 beta drivers introduce three fixes that improve fidelity and performance. A Windows Media Center black screen fix is also included, in addition to new and updated SLI and 3D Vision profiles for a range of titles, one of which is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

No complaints with these drivers and Skyrim. Performance is smooth with decent FPS. As far as TDRs with Firefox, turn off hardware acceleration (or switch to Opera - thats what I did).

I don't seem to be having this issue. Which version of Firefox? Can you point to specific content that causes a crash, or is it just any time that Flash content appears?

No difference for me over 285.62 if anything at times the green flicker is more constant then 285.62 in BF3 .

does this fix the "display driver has stopping working and fix itself" issue?

If I were you, go to safe mode and launch the latest beta drivers from this thread, install it and say clean install. it will remove old stuff and put in all the drivers,,,, Phsyx you have to install manually which I put a link for. Then reboot and go to normal mode and you shouldnt have problems....

I have seen AMD users report green flashing on youtube. Check out the comments.

As to the TDR, I never experience it. They have found that manual uninstall over a clean install corrected the issues from users whom that have worked with. Also, TDR is a generic video card recovery mechanism, not an error. If video card takes too long to response, then Windows will think it has gone into zombie state and reboot the display driver. That is, there can be many causes. It is something that existed for a long time.

Again, my systems never experience TDR.
